What to do in your garden this November

Summertime, and the gardening is easy! Well, there’s a lot to do, but there’s also huge enjoyment to be had as flowers bloom, bees buzz, and – hopefully – gentle rains turn everything green again. It’s a time of new life, and with a little careful tending you can enjoy wonderful floral displays and fresh summer salads from your organic veggie patch. With temperatures climbing, you’ll need to water more, but please do remember to be water wise and as sparing as you can – every drop still counts! Oh yes, and watch out for insects!

DON’T SHOULDER DEAD SOLDIERS Remember to regularly deadhead your rose bushes, so they remain in full flush and you can enjoy wonderful blushing colours and sweet scents all summer long.

SIX LEGS BAD Insect pests will have a field day in your garden – if you let them. Be on your guard and talk to us about responsible, eco-friendly ways to control them.

GREEN, GREEN GRASS OF HOME To look their best, lawns will need to be dressed and fed during November. Watering is important, as is mowing –not too short, or roots will burn.
